Paradigm Changes

When I first time hear about paradigm, I really didn’t know what it was. After I watched video in the class, I could understand its meaning little bit. In my understanding, paradigm is a creative way of our thinking on something and it can be changed every day. My thinking on IT is very useful in my future working place and good advantage if I have IT background. I gained confidence, satisfaction and motivation on IT after IT courses.

What was my first paradigm regarding on project management course? I though the project management is very simple job that project managers are only responsible for scheduling of project. I was totally wrong that their duties were way more than just scheduling. I realized this thought by doing the group project. I learned that project manager should need enough experience, expertise and leadership so that other group members can develop respects toward their project manager. Good supports from the group members are also very important to project manager to perform his/her duty. Now I believe I gained little bit knowledge on what I need to become a project manager, and I like to try it in the future. This is how my paradigm changed on this course.

My thought toward on overall information technology was also changed. At beginning of whole program, IT courses were the one that I really didn’t have any confidence to pass. I am a type of person who cannot follow the fast changes on technology, so I did early gave up. This was the reason that I never thought about learning IT courses before. My mind has been changed after SAIT courses. I believe I gain some knowledge, and confidence on IT. In these days, I even teach my friends with my knowledge gained from the lectures when they ask me basic IT problem. IT knowledge will be useful in my future workplace too. What I heard from others is that there are no people who have IT knowledge in the most of their accounting workplace, and it will be a good advantage if I have IT background. I am starting motivated on IT with this fact. I strongly believe there cannot be such paradigm changes without attempting and motivation. My paradigm changed because I took the IT courses.

There will be lots of challenges that I may dislike in the future, but I won’t think of it in negative way. Even if I hate to start something new, I believe my mind will be changed positively after work done with such confidence and satisfaction. This is how my paradigm changed and it also applied to SAIT program same way. I gained confidence and satisfaction through the program, and I motivated to learn it further. It was wonderful program and I truly want to recommend to future students. Thank you!
